Critical AI Health Literacy profiles

Scoring health AI by who it serves.

HugoScore turns CAIHL into a public review layer for health AI that shapes care access, clinical documentation, and patient agency.

Institutional vs patient-directed Interest alignment Agency expansion

Axis scale: 0 = institution-directed control; 100 = patient-directed choice and control. The number locates agency direction, not product quality.

CAIHL canonical foundation

Evidence-based public-interest review layer. HugoScore helps readers inspect health AI through agency, control, evidence, and unknowns.

Draft status: a draft profile exposes public-source research and CAIHL interpretation for scrutiny; a reviewed profile will show human review, reviewer/date, and change history.

Directory

Seed tools

Draft profiles show public-source research and CAIHL interpretation. Reviewed profiles will add reviewer/date and change-log detail as the workflow matures.

Framework

CAIHL-derived criteria

HugoScore operationalizes the CAIHL lens without replacing it.

What CAIHL contributes

Critical AI Health Literacy asks patients, advocates, and reviewers to read the system around the AI, not only the output. The first question is always: who does this AI serve?

How HugoScore uses it

HugoScore translates CAIHL into repeatable questions about control, interests, visibility, consent, reflection, action, agency, equity, privacy, safety, and evidence.
